McDavid Sets Playoff Record, Skinner Shines

Edmonton, AB – Connor McDavid continued his historic playoff run with a dominant performance in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Florida Panthers on Saturday, scoring a goal and adding three assists to set a new playoff record.

Dylan Holloway also had a big game for the Oilers, scoring twice, while Stuart Skinner made 32 saves to earn the victory in net. The win gives the Oilers a 3-1 lead in the series and puts them one win away from their first Stanley Cup title since 1990.

McDavid's goal came in the first period, giving the Oilers an early 1-0 lead. He assisted on goals by Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl in the second period to extend the lead to 3-0. In the third period, he set up Evan Bouchard for a power-play goal that made it 4-0.

Holloway scored his first goal of the game in the second period, and added his second in the third period to make it 7-1 Oilers. Draisaitl also scored in the third period to round out the scoring for Edmonton.

Skinner was solid in net for the Oilers, stopping 32 of 33 shots faced. He has now allowed just eight goals in four games this series.

The Oilers will look to close out the series and win the Stanley Cup on Monday night in Game 5 in Florida.
